Seating Arrangements
The Pink Giraffe welcomes parties of all sizes and can cater for up to 35 guests in our first floor restaurant, which can act as a private
function room on request. We also understand that for the celebrating of events most guests like to sit together on one table, so we do
try and sit you together. However, it is sometimes not possible if your party is over 16 people or you have not given us enough notice
for your booking. So please do call us in advance to avoid disappointments!

Private Function Room
This room can be arranged to be your private dining area automatically if your party has an arrival number of between 25 - 35 guests
and upon payment of a deposit to secure the booking (more details on deposits below). However, if your party is less than 25 guests,
you can still request this room solely for your party, but the subtotal of the bill will have to be a minimum of £500 before adding a 10%
Service Charge on top. Reaching £500 as a subtotal has proven to be average for parties of 21 guests or over that on average drink half
a bottle of wine each with desserts & coffees after dinner.

Cakes
All guests are welcome to bring their own cakes for birthday and anniversary parties. If you prefer, you can leave it with us or drop it
off before your reservation time to keep it a surprise and we will bring the cake to the table after you have finished dinner with dimmed
lights so everybody knows there is a birthday in the restaurant!

Decorations / Balloons
You are welcome to add helium balloons or decorations to your table a few hours prior to your party or reservation time. Just tell us in
advance and drop in while we are open to organise them. Lunch: 12noon - 2pm & Dinner: 6pm - 11:30pm.

Stag Nights / Hen Nights
Stag & Hen nights are always welcome and the entertainment of a special guest or "stripper" is welcome too, but we and the other
guests do like to know before they appear! So please tell the staff at the time of booking if you are expecting a special guest appearance
from someone!

Changes in Guest Numbers
Please tell us in advance if there are any reductions to the number of guests attending the reservation you have made, as it prevents the
awkwardness of you and your guests watching us rearranging your table after you have arrived. Even 30 minutes notice maybe enough
for us to rearrange your table. If you have a larger party than expected, then the same applies, as even 1 extra guest will need a seat and
possibly a rearrangement of the table to fit everybody onto it. We will always try our best to accommodate your changes, but we may
not be able to accommodate your extra guests on busy occasions.




Deposits
To secure reservations of 10 people or over, a deposit of £10 per guest is required. This is to secure
the table/s for you and a Guarantee that no one else can book your table.

Deposits can be paid with:
* Debit / Credit Card over the telephone or in person
* Cash in person
(Cheques were no longer accepted as payment or for payments of deposits as of 1st October 2005)
(Please do not send cash in the post)

All deposits will be put towards paying your bill for the specific secured reservation, unless you would like a refund on the day.

We will only deduct monies from your deposit if 50% or OVER of your party fails to dine with us on that occasion.
E.g. Bookings for 10 guests with a £100 deposit is not affected if only 9 persons turn up for dinner. You will still receive back the £100
deposit towards paying your bill. However, if only 5 people turned up for dinner, we would then deduct £50 from your deposit
automatically. We have only done this once in the past and can confidently say that the chances of this happening is minimal if you
confirm your booking numbers correctly.

Even if you only find out at the last minute that a few cannot make it, 30 minutes of notice prior to your arrival maybe enough time for
us to decrease the size of your table so that we can offer it to other guests, which means you do not lose out on your deposit.

There are NO DEDUCTIONS of deposits for any changes in numbers if we are notified of reduced numbers at least 2 - 3 hours prior to
your booking time. E.g. If you have booked for 20 guests with a £200 deposit and only 8 are now turning up for dinner, you will still
receive the full £200 deposit back if you have notified us of this change 2 - 3 hours prior to your booking time.
Please note that you must speak to a member of staff either in person or on the telephone to have the changes confirmed, answer
machine messages or emails will not be accepted as a form of notification.

If you wish to cancel your whole booking and receive your full deposit back, we must have at least 24 hours notice.

If you should decide on not paying the deposit, we cannot guarantee that we will have the table/s for you on that required occasion.

Service Charge
A 10% Service Charge is applied to ALL parties of 5 or Over.
