As there have been many debates about "Service Charges" with many guests in restaurants across the UK, we have found some information regarding the issue: " When you order a meal in a restaurant you are agreeing to pay for the food and drink, and service. It's a contract for work and materials which apply to the Supply of Goods and Services Act... If a price is stipulated, for example, ten per cent service charge, that's what must be paid," cited from www.bbc.co.uk ( in 2005 - 2008) Therefore, upon entering the restaurant and after ordering any food or drink, you have entered a contract with us that you will pay for the price of the food & drinks ordered and the 10% Service Charge that has been stipulated in the menus if you are a party of 5 or over. Although it is very rare for us to have problems with the service charges that we apply to parties of 5 or over, we feel that it is in our guests and ourselve's best interest to keep you informed of the legal aspects of dining out to prevent disagreements at the time of payment.
